I did what has got to be THE most stupidest (yeah, that's a word in my vocabulary, just because it fits at the moment) thing EEVERR today. I lost my car!!! Yeah, it's true. I actually lost my car. No, not a little toy car, my CAR. My `98 Honda Civic. Here's how I discovered I had lost my car. I live on campus at my college. I left to go to the school play (for extra credit in my theatre class), and I decided I wanted to drive my car there since it was FREEZING outside, rather than walk. I got outside, and started walking in the direction my car is usually parked, right in front of my building. I didn't see it...so then I started wondering where I had parked it. I looked over to the next parking row over, and didn't see it there either. Then I turned around, and started walking up and down the row I normally park in...there are only 2 rows in front of my dorm, and then one other row right behind a median, that is like my back-up spot if the ones right in front fill up...I don't usually park it anywhere else. But STILL...NO CAR!! It entered my mind that maybe someone had stolen my car...but mostly, I was just kind of giggling to myself because I realized I had forgotten where I parked it...I seriously didn't think anyone had stolen it. So, being that I was running a little late, I thought, "oh well, I'll look for it when I get back," and started walking toward the theater. On my way there, a thought popped in my head, "OH! I bet when I took that midterm last night, I forgot about parking my car by the library, and walked home instead of driving." Sure enough, I turned back toward the library parking lot, and there it was. I had forgotten in the stress of taking a super hard Rhetoric mid-term, and in the excitement of ACING it, that I had parked my car by the library that night...I left that midterm and walked all the way back!! I even remember wishing I had driven myself to the exam because it was cold and raining. How ironic is that?!? Anyhow, when I saw that beautiful white car sitting there in the library parking lot, I started skipping and laughing to myself, I was so happy I had found it and it hadn't been stolen...and I was laughing at my stupidity. :) Gee, I just KNOW I should've been born a blonde. Seriously, I guess this stunt makes me officially unofficially a blonde. Either that, or I have a serious case of early alzheimers.
